I am a software geek, with a mechanical engineering background. I’ve been writing programs to help out engineers and engineering companies for many years.

I’m also a proud father. It’s been quite surprising do be doing something with my son, and remembering my parents doing something similar when I was so small. Things like being extremely careful when dressing him so as to not “rip his ears off” when the shirt goes on or off.  I love watching him get excited when I suit up in my running gear, because he knows that he’s coming with me.

My other passion is in cycling. I’ve always been into bikes, ever since I broke the training wheels off my first bike. I’ve been riding mountain bikes ever since high school.  After coming to Calgary, I got interested in road riding. Calgary has some absolutely amazing places to ride. At this time, I met the lead coach from Team Tri Life, a triathlon club based in Cochrane. The triathlon community is very family friendly, and I’m eagerly hoping that my son also becomes interested in this.
